Yong Chee Tuan

Yong Chee Tuan, BEng (Hons), PhD (Leeds), is Director of the ICT Centre at the University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD). His primary responsibility is to ensure that appropriate ICT resources and services are managed to meet the growing demands of UBD's staff, students and other stakeholders. He is also a senior lecturer in the Department of Management Studies covering operations management, strategic management and IT courses. Dr Yong had worked for consulting and contractor firms prior to joining UBD. He has published and presented more than 30 papers related to ICT and management issues. He was involved in the drafting of the recommendations for the two APEC SME Business Forums held in Brunei and Shanghai. He is a member of the Brunei IT Council. He sits on the E-Government Strategic, Policy and Coordinating Group and contributes to the planning of various e-government initiatives. His current research activities focus on ICT development, organisational performance, e-business and knowledge management.
