C.V.Rajasunderam C.V. Rajasunderam has been working in the area of communication training and research for two decades. He is currently working as Co-ordinator of the Development Communication Group, Ryerson Polytechnic University, Toronto, Canada. He has previously worked as Head of Training, Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation and subsequent to retirement was attached to the Sri Lanka Centre for Development Studies (Marga Institute) as Senior Research Officer and Head of Media Studies. As Advisor, Development Communication, Ryerson International Development Centre (now Ryerson International) during the period 1991 - 94, he carried out various research and training assignments for the CIDA-funded Asia-Pacific Project for Broadcasting in Development. He has served as consultant for the Asia-Pacific Institue for Broadcasting Development, Kuala Lampur; Radio Nederland Training Centre, Hilversum; Worldview International Foundation, Colombo; and the International Devlopment Research Centre, Ottawa. From June, 1989 to March, 1994, he was an External Evaluator of the Canadian International Development Agency Film and Video Co-production Program.
C.V. Rajasunderam is the author of "Development Communication with special
reference to Broadcasting, A Trainer`s Manual," a joint publication of AIBD
and AMIC. He was co-editor of "Participatory development
Communication, A West African Agenda," published by IDRC, Ottawa and
Southbound, Penang. "Communication for Social Change - A Reader in Development
Communication," complied and editted by him for the Worldview International
Foundation, awaits publication.
